The long-awaited remake of Dead Space has finally landed on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It’s one of the more notable horror releases of the year, so some players might be wondering whether or not they can download the game through Xbox Game Pass or its sister service, PC Game Pass.

Unfortunately, the answer as of now is no. The 2023 remake of Dead Space is not available on Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass… yet.

Game Pass and EA Play

A Game Pass subscription of any level on any platform comes with access to EA Play, Electronic Arts’ subscription service. Since Dead Space is an EA title, it will almost certainly make its way to EA Play eventually. At launch, though, if you want to play the game you’ll have to go out and buy the thing.

EA Play also includes timed trials for certain new games. Dead Space is not yet available for a timed trial, but it might land on EA Play’s trial list before the full game makes it to the service.

In the meantime…

If you’re wondering what to do while you wait for the Dead Space remake’s eventual arrival on Game Pass/EA Play, you’ve got some good options. Game Pass is full of excellent horror games. As far as space-y horror goes, you can always play Signalis or Alien: Isolation. If you’re less picky about setting, you can check out games like The Evil Within and Amnesia: Rebirth.

Your best option, though, is probably the original Dead Space and its two direct sequels. All three original Dead Space games are available on EA Play, so if you don’t want to buy the remake and you still want your Dead Space fix, you’ve got some options.
