You can unlock new songs in Theatrhythm Final Bar Line fairly easily, but be warned, it will be time-consuming. This Square Enix-published game will challenge you to complete songs from every instalment of the franchise in the “Series Quests” mode. You’ll have to toil through each game in the series and its music, and along the way, a treasure chest will open up. Inside will contain an unlock key that will give you access to another game’s soundtrack and quest line.

As you finish each song in Series Quest, it will unlock it for you in the “Music Stages” mode, which basically is a free-play alteration.

Additionally, you can unlock new songs in Theatrhythm Final Bar Line by clearing the series quest line. For example, tracks like “Aerith’s Theme” and “Rufus’s Welcoming Ceremony” are unlocked when you finish the Final Fantasy VII quest line. You’ll also get Sephiroth as a playable character in your party.

Best practices to finish songs

If you’re struggling to complete a song in Theatrhythm Final Bar Line, the best practice is to change the difficulty. The developer finds a way to keep challenging you, so sometimes this is the best practice and it won’t penalize you at all for this. You’ll still unlock the new song.

You can also use items that you pick up from finishing songs. For example, just before starting a song, you can select to use a Phoenix Down if your party dies. They will come back with 30% health. You can also use a Potion to restore health whenever the party goes down to a certain HP percentage.
