How to heal your Pals in Palworld – Explained

Get 'em back in the fight.

In Palworld, captured Pals can aid you in battles against enemy Pals or other foes. But in a heated brawl, your Pals could end up knocked out for the count. You need to heal your Pals in Palworld, and fast.

Unfortunately, it’s not gonna be that fast. Incapacitated Pals go back into your inventory and can’t be summoned until they’re back to fighting strength. Pals can regain health over time in your inventory if they’ve taken damage and are well-fed, but reviving an incapacitated Pal is a different matter entirely.

Head to base to heal your incapacitated Pals in Palworld

When a Pal gets incapacitated, your best bet is to head for the nearest fast travel point and return to your base. Drop your Pal off in the Palbox once you get back home. When you do, a counter will appear on your Pal’s icon for 10 real-time minutes. When the timer reaches zero, your Pal is healed and can be placed back into your party.

At the moment this seems to be the best way to heal your Pals in Palworld. It’s not quick or pretty, but it does get the job done. As far as I can tell, there are no medicines that can heal your Pal back to full. And since you need to approach your Pal to feed them anything, shoving medicine down their throats during a hectic boss fight isn’t likely.

Medicines you can craft in Palworld

There is medicine you can make in Palworld, but it’s mostly to help your worker Pals. At level 12, you can spend some Technology Points to unlock the Medieval Medicine Workbench for your base. The bench lets you cobble together medicine that helps heal Pals with depression or sprained legs.

Here are the medicines you can create using the bench and what they do:

  • Low Grade Medical Supplies
    • Heals colds and sprains
  • Medical Supplies
    • Heals ulcers and fractures
  • High Grade Medical Supplies
    • Heals the ‘Weakened’ and ‘Depressed’ statuses
  • Suspicious Juice
    • Temporarily improves mood and increases work speed at the cost of SAN
  • Strange Juice
    • Temporarily improves mood and significantly increases work speed at the cost of a lot of SAN

Keep in mind that some of the more powerful medicines take a lot of time to create, so you may consider just swapping out an injured Pal for a healthier one. That’s capitalism, baby.

How to give Pals medicine

Thankfully, you don’t need to wrap meds in a piece of cheese to get your Pals to consume them. Walk up to a sick Pal and press the button or key for the ‘Open Menu’ option (it’s the 4 key on a keyboard).

Click on the ‘Feed’ option, which opens up your inventory. Click on the medicine you want to give your Pal, and you’re done. If all’s well, the negative status in the Pal’s info box should disappear.

With that, your Pals should be ready for work or combat. Speaking of, be sure to give our guide on how to take on the first tower boss a look.
