Mandrake seeds in Hogwarts Legacy are a little hard to come by, but thankfully, there’s a far-off location from Hogsmeade that has just the ingredient you’re looking for.

Once these Mandrake seeds are planted and grown, you can use these vile creatures against your foes. They’ll scream into their ears, distracting your opponent as you cast spells like Expelliarmus and Incendio at them. Here’s where to find Mandrake seeds in Hogwarts Legacy.

Mandrake seeds can be found by purchasing them at the Dogweed and Deathcap shop in Hogsmeade. At first, you may be confused about where the store is because it’s not in the main town center. If you look further north, however, you’ll find the strange shop across the river. It’s a nuisance to get to as it’s about 200 paces away from Hogsmeade. Once you arrive in the shop, you can purchase the seeds you need for 800 galleons.

If you don’t have the patience to grow the Mandrake seeds in Hogwarts Legacy, you can also buy two outright for 500 galleons.

Depending on the part of the game you’re at, you can either grow mandrakes in the herbology classroom or at the Room of Requirement. The latter is much easier to get to. Once you place the Mandrake seed inside the soil, it will take 10 minutes to grow. You can perform some maintenance on the Room of Requirement while you wait like placing new paintings on the wall or reorganizing furniture. You could also brew a quick Wiggenweld potion in your cauldron or visit J.Pippin’s in Hogsmeade for some extra supplies.

Once the mandrake has been harvested, you can then use it in battle. Hold the left shoulder button to bring up a wheel switching out a potion for the Mandrake. Then, you’ll want to tap the left shoulder button to release the Mandrake. It will scream toward enemies in your vicinity, causing damage and stunning them. Hopefully, this item can help you breathe during a tough battle and eliminate your foes while they’re incapacitated.
