With Star Wars taking over the game to celebrate May 4, both the Rebels and Empire are coming to not only Battle Royale, but LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and even Fortnite Festival. While all these additions are definitely welcome, for many, it’s the cosmetics that they’re looking forward to the most.

That’s why plenty of Star Wars fans are so happy to see Chewbacca finally appear in the game. Arriving with his Wookie Bowcaster, players will be able to buy Chewie, but may be confused if they head to the Item Shop and discover he’s not there.

How to unlock Chewbacca in Fortnite

To unlock Chewbacca in Fortnite, you’ll need to purchase the Star Wars Rebel Adventure pass. This can be found at the top of your screen between the ‘Play’ and ‘Locker’ tabs. The Premium Track pass costs 1,400 V-Bucks, and instantly unlocks the Chewie skin.

Players will get two versions of Chewbacca: A regular version that can be used in Battle Royale and Fortnite Festival, and a LEGO Fortnite version exclusive to that mode.

The Rebel Adventure pass will also allow players to unlock Star Wars-themed LEGO Fortnite buildings by completing Quests, so you can turn your world into Tatooine.
