How to get favors in Payday 3

May Mercury smile upon you.

Favors in Payday 3 are very useful. Think of them as behind-the-line supply drops that can help you out in an emergency. At some point, everything is going to go wrong, and you never know when you might need extra ammo, armor, or other supplies to get you through a tough siege.

You can purchase favors from the Vendors tab under the Gage: Arms Dealer options. Scroll to the end of his inventory, and you will see a multitude of favors that are available for purchase for $10,000 dollars. There are four different types of favors available:

  • Ammo Bag – drops an ammo bag somewhere in the level.
  • Armor Bag – drop an armor bag somewhere in the level.
  • Medic Bag – drops a health bag somewhere in the level.
  • Zipline Bag – drops a zipline bag somewhere in the level.

Some heists will also have additional favors available that you can take advantage of. These will be available only from the heist preparation screen and can include things like additional pickup points or QR codes to grant access to closed rooms.

How to equip favors in Payday 3

Favors can be equipped during the heist preparation screen, and you will be able to choose one favor from any that you have available or from the heist-specific favors. You can only equip one favor per character; bots will never select a favor.

When you load into a level with a favor, it will be randomly placed in the level. You can see its orange outline through walls, the same as ammo packs, armor packs, etc. Now that you now what to do with favors, we can also help you get into that pesky vault in the Dirty Ice Heist.
