How to bring up camera for photo ops in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Say cheese!

How to use the camera for photo ops in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

The photo ops missions in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 require the player to aim your camera at the scene in front of you. To get the camera out, flick the touchpad up with your finger. It will then show the camera overlay. To aim the photo, hold the L2 button, and once you have the perfect shot, press R1 to take the photo.

You can then go about your day, knocking out thieves and taking down epic bosses like The Sandman. It’s all in a day’s work for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Can you use the camera at any moment? Is it separate from photo mode?

If you want to take a photo at any moment in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, you can do so. Unfortunately, it won’t be stored in the game’s menus or on your PS5 hard drive at all.

To actually store them you’ll need to enable photo mode. Pause the game and then select “Photo Mode.” The game then completely stops in its place. You can change the camera type from Free to Orbit. You can alter the suit Miles or Peter is wearing.

Additionally, there’s a way to completely remove either of the Spider-Men from the screen with Hero Visibility. That latter would be fantastic for shots of Insomniac’s New York. The Digital Deluxe Edition comes with a few extras for the photo mode too.
