Mesa is a character in The Wind Waker.[2]

Biography[]

Mesa is a timid, orange-garbed single resident of Outset Island with a vegetable patch full of weeds, which he tries to get rid of for most of the year. He lazily weeds his garden all year until the threat of monsters messes with his schedule and, because of this, he sleeps in the day and is awake at night (which doesn't make a huge amount of sense as the monsters are only found close to shore, meaning not that close to his house, and they are not active during the day. They are also easy to kill as they are only Green ChuChus and Red ChuChus, though the only resident of the island who still knows how to fight is Orca). Mesa is also the only villager to live on the western island of Outset Island. In his house there is a secret room which can be entered by crawling through a hole under his bed — the only interest of this room is that there is a chest containing 20 Rupees.
