ENGLAND have reached the semi-finals of Euro 2024 after beating Switzerland in a stunning penalty shoot-out!
Breel Embolo put the Swiss ahead with just 15 minutes left on the clock.
But five minutes later, Bukayo Saka came to the rescue with a sublime strike to take the tie to extra time.
And then the match needed penalties to decide a winner - and it was Trent Alexander-Arnold's winning spot kick that fired the Three Lions to the semi-final where they will face the Netherlands.

Pundit tipped to replace Southgate
Gary Lineker has tipped Frank Lampard to succeed Gareth Southgate as England manager after Euro 2024.
His endorsement came after Micah Richards praised Lampard's analysis of the Three Lions' win over Switzerland on the Rest is Football podcast.
Richards said: "I was glued to his analysis for three minutes. You can tell he's articulate, the way he explains points. You can tell there's a manager there inside of him."
Lineker then responded: "There's no question about that. I think he's been a bit unlucky in his managerial career in some ways. He gets it tactically."
The BBC presenter continued: "I think this will be Gareth Southgate's last tournament whatever happens. If he wins I think he'll absolutely bow out and if he doesn't then I think he'll bow out. It will be his decision.
"But, I wouldn't disregard Frank Lampard [as Southgate's replacement]. I think he tactically gets it. I think the players would respect him immediately.
"Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here but if you're going to go English you think who else? Eddie Howe maybe?"
Southgate shuts down German journalist
Gareth Southgate hit back at a journalist after being left stunned by his comment.
England came top of their group containing Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia. Then beat Slovakia in the last 16 and Switzerland in the quarter-final.
And a German Journalist suggested that the Three Lions have had an easy run to the semi-final, a claim Southgate subjected to.
The England boss hit back saying: "Look, the teams we've played are because we won our group. If you go through history, England had different routes to the final because we didn't win our group.
"I understand of course, you'd rather not have to jump the Grand National to win the tournament.
"Most teams, when you have back-to-back games, two, three, four games against big nations the margins are so fine and then those games end up quite even - you win one, you lose one, so it's very tough to go through those processes.
"I'm not really sure what to say, it's the madness of this job, but it's been an enjoyable night and I will try to keep it that way."
Pickford was forced to CHANGE shootout routine
Jordan Pickford was forced to change his penalty shootout routine at the last minute against Switzerland.
Fans have praised Pickford's shootout antics as a key moment in helping England go through to the semi-finals.
But little did they know the referee prevented him from following his "usual process".
"Firstly, the referee didn't let me do my usual process so I had to adapt tonight, I like to give the lads a ball for a bit of calm and focus.
"I could only do it on the first one and luckily I saved it.
"I trust my process and what I do and I'll save one but massive respect to the lads they stepped up to score all five the way they did - huge credit."

Star boy Saka
Saka was Man of the Match after spearheading their victory over Switzerland in the quarter-finals of the Euros.
His brilliant strike after 80 minutes ensured the match went to extra time and then penalties.
And he was one of five England penalty takers that all scored as England went on to win the shootout 5-3 over Switzerland.
The Arsenal winger took England's third penalty, slotting it cooly into the inside of the side netting as England went on to win the shootout.
Saka was one of three players, along with Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford who missed penalties in the shootout of the Euro 2020 final against Italy, which led to vile racist abuse.
And to remind fans that his penalty yesterday was the first he had taken for his country since then.
Selection dilemma
Gareth Southgate will have a selection headache for England's Euro 2024 semi-final against the Netherlands on Wednesday night.
Marc Guehi has been a stalwart at the back for the Three Lions since the start of the tournament but was replaced by Ezri Konsa for the quarter-final as the Crystal Palace man was suspended.
Guehi will return to the fold for Wednesday night's blockbuster in Dortmund, but it remains to be seen if he will slot straight back in following Konsa's impressive display.
There are question marks around the system Southgate will deploy, too, after playing a back three for the first time at the tournament against Switzerland.
Luke Shaw's cameo from the bench could mean the Manchester United left-back can start in place of Kieran Trippier in the left wing-back role - giving the Three Lions a natural left footer on the left flank.

The Dutch beat Turkey 2-1 to progress to the semis.
The match will take place on Wednesday, July 10 at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund - with kick off set for 8pm BST.
And the game will be broadcast live on ITV1.
On the opposite side of the bracket, Spain and France will go head-to-head in the other semi-final the night before on Tuesday.
Toney ice-cool in shootout
ENGLAND fans heaped praise on Ivan Toney after his masterful penalty against Switzerland.
The Three Lions scored all five of their spot kicks in Dusseldorf, claiming a 5-3 win in the shoot-out after playing out a 1-1 draw across 120 minutes.

But it is the Brentford striker's incredible poise from 12 yards that has captivated fans.
Much like he often does for his club, Toney stared down Swiss keeper Yann Sommer and never looked at the ball before striking it.
He then dispatched a superb penalty into the bottom left corner, with Sommer unable to reach it despite diving the right way.
Lions' tails Waging
ENGLAND stars celebrated their dramatic penalty shootout win over Switzerland with their wives and girlfriends in the stands.

As beers flew in the air in pubs and bars across the England, Three Lions stars took the chance to celebrate with their loved ones in the stands of the Dusseldorf Arena.

Old Palmer
GARETH SOUTHGATE labelled Cole Palmer a "fearless old man" after the England man confidently dispatched his penalty in the shoot-out win over Switzerland, writes Dylan Terry.
Chelsea man Palmer, 22, scored the first of the Three Lions' five spot kicks in Dusseldorf as they claimed a 5-3 victory in the shoot-out after a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes.
Bukayo Saka, England's player of the match, also tucked his neatly away, three years after suffering penalty heartache in the Euros final against Italy.
And Southgate, 53, began discussing the shoot-out by praising the Arsenal man.
When asked by the BBC about Saka, he said: "So brave. Look, he's one of our best so we were never in any question that he was going to take one.
"But we all know what he went through [so] to deliver as he did."
Southgate then turned his attention to the other takers - Palmer, Jude Bellingham, Ivan Toney and Trent Alexander-Arnold - before he hilariously described the Chelsea playmaker.He added: "But not just him. Trent, Ivan to come on and take them as they did.
"Cole, he's like an old man isn't he the way he's fearless.
"So huge performance, huge result for us, and we're still in it."
Turn off the Gaz
GARY LINEKER forced the BBC into drastic defending when he dropped the F-bomb during England's victory over Switzerland, writes Ian Tuckey.
The Beeb showed footage of the Three Lions' legend and studio pundits celebrating wildly after Bukayo Saka's sensational equaliser which led to Gareth Southgate's men winning on penalties.
But Lineker's uncontrolled expression of joy was too much for the broadcaster.
First the Beeb had displayed rejoicing that exploded from a fans' zone when Bukayo Saka levelled in normal time - ahead of the shootout success.
Then the BBC then switched to what had happened in the studio - where a similar burst of joy over Saka's sizzler was interrupted by Lineker appearing to let out an expletive.

THEO WALCOTT joked that he channelled his inner Gareth Southgate with his outfit for his punditry duties, writes Chisanga Malata.
The former Arsenal hitman was part of BBC's broadcast team for the Three Lions' quarter-final clash with Switzerland.
Ex-England star Walcott appeared on our screens at half-time to give his thoughts on a drab first 45 minutes.
And he joked that he'd deliberately dressed like Southgate as a show of support for the under-pressure manager.
After giving some insightful analysis of the match, he said: "Look, for me, I'm very positive for today.
"Look, I've got Gareth Southgate's top on, I think as well.
"So I'm very into it."

IT TOOK penalties to put us through but, before the drama, England showed us why they have the ingredients to do something special, writes Jack Wilshere.
It was a win by the narrowest of margins but this was overall our best performance of Euro 2024.
If we can build on the progress we made, especially in the first half, we could WIN the tournament.
It was not a complete display. There were nervy moments and waiting so long to make changes could have cost us.
But we saw what a good team England can be if they do the right things and put players in the right positions.
The first half was England’s best since the first 45 against Serbia. Maybe even better.
One of the keys to that was our press and the effect it had on Granit Xhaka.
For the first time in four games we were pressing high, winning the ball back in better areas and putting Switzerland on the back foot.
In previous matches, our forwards were pressing but the gaps between our lines were too big.
That was leaving huge gaps for Declan Rice and whoever was partnering him to cover.
This time there was better structure and organisation.
There seemed to be more of a plan for when to drop into a block and when to jump out to press.
Now England have the opportunity to build momentum and show why they can win this tournament.

NOVAK DJOKOVIC'S Wimbledon clash was temporarily halted on Centre Court - as English football fans celebrated the penalty shootout win, writes Joshua Jones.
England booked their spot in the semi-finals of Euro 2024 with a nervy 5-3 shootout victory over Switzerland following a 1-1 draw.
Trent Alexander-Arnold smashed home the winning spot-kick at 7.40pm.
At the exact same time, Djokovic was in the middle of the second set against Alexei Popyrin of Australia - having surprisingly dropped the opener.
Popyrin was about to serve at 1-4 30-30 when suddenly a massive cheer went up around the 15,000-seater stadium.
And that was because plenty of supporters inside the venue were keeping tabs on events in Dusseldorf.

FANS crowned Jordan Pickford the king of shootout s***housery as England sneaked into the Euro 2024 semi-finals, writes Ian Tuckey.
Pickford made the only penalty save needed as the Three Lions sunk Switzerland 5-3 on spot-kicks following a 1-1 draw.
But there was so much more to the keeper's crucial intervention than diving to keep out Manuel Akanji's low effort.
As Akanji prepared to take the first penalty of the shootout, viewers spotted Pickford staring at the Manchester City defender with his eyes and mouth wide open.
Many might think he looked more like an over-acting extra in a hammy horror movie than an international sporting hero.
But Pickford's tactics could well have worked - because Akanji's mediocre attempt was the worst kick of the shootout.
