Yes, if your nbn® connection uses Fibre to the Node (FTTN) technology, your top speed might be limited to 100 Mbps. In some cases, it could be even slower, depending on the condition of the older copper line and how far you are from the node.
While the nbn® has plans of up to 1,000 Mbps, such speeds are often only attainable with more sophisticated technologies such as Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) or Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC).
If you need more speed, you’ll need to upgrade to FTTP and sign up to a 250 Mbps or 1000 Mbps plan.
