Two trains collide in rural Russia, one of them housing nuclear weapons that go missing after the wreck, and the U.S. government is alerted. Nuclear specialist Dr. Julia Kelly (Nicole Kidman) believes that there will soon be a terrorist attack, so Lt. Col. Thomas Devoe (George Clooney) joins Dr. Kelly as they try to track down the warhead-stealing culprits. They learn that Yugoslav terrorist Gavrich (Marcel Iures) has his hands on the weapons, and he's plotting a devastating attack on New York.

Good time watching this thriller. Clooney as a military was good, but Nicole’s character was missing something. They had good chemistry. Maybe he was too likable and you couldn’t tell that there’s supposed to be conflict between them. The bad guy had a deeper description than the good guys.

George Clooney was absolutely amazing in his role. His character was next level. Great script, engaging movie but... along comes Nicole Kidman. Weak character and poor delivery. I honestly wanted to to watch the end but watching her is a unbearable. She was so blank and so annoying. So I stopped watching. Not worth it. She killed the movie.

This is your run of the mill action/thriller, that ultimately fails to deliver much tension or excitement. The premise was interesting enough and should have made for a better viewing experience. Both main characters felt a little uninspired and things that happened in the movie were just a little too convenient to be believable. We don't even get any real motivation for why things are happening until near the end and by then its too late. Overall, not a bad film but nothing special here.
