India-based games publisher Nazara Technologies is set to acquire the remaining 49% stake in learning app Kiddopia for ₹300 crore ($36 million), according to a report.

CNBC-TV18 cited sources that claimed the deal could be finalised by the end of the month. Nazara previously purchased a 51% stake in Kiddopia, developed by Paper Boat Apps, in 2020.

During the year ending March 31st, 2024, Kiddopia saw an 18% year-on-year decrease in subscribers, to around 250,000.

Nazara's continues growth

A Kiddopia deal would mark the latest move from Nazara as it ramps up its investments and acquisitions.

In March earlier this year, the company also pledged $100 million for mergers and acquisitions over the next 24 months to strengthen its global presence.

Nazara recently signed a deal with nCore to publish its upcoming multiplayer shooter FAU-G: Domination. Meanwhile, last week its subsidiary Nodwin Gaming acquired a 100% stake in esports and games marketing agency Freaks 4U Gaming.
