AR-23 Liberator Carbine

A modified carbine that’s been given a shortened form factor. As such, it handles things differently from the other versions but with increased recoil. It’s unclear how it’ll do compared to the other guns in Helldivers 2, but the improved handling might help with those close encounters.

SG-22 Bushwhacker

This is the first shotgun sidearm in Helldivers 2, and it comes with two different firing modes: you can either pop off one shot at a time or unleash all three at once for that extra punch. It does require you to pop the shells in the chamber slowly, but that’s a small price to pay for power.

Future Helldivers 2 Warbonds

One note in the Viper Commandos Warbond update post on the PlayStation Blog mentions that the developer has been listening to player feedback about how Warbonds are received in general. Its findings mean that there are now two big changes for future Warbonds. Firstly, Arrowhead Game Studios is slowing down the pace of new Warbond launches. This is to “give us a little bit more time to polish these designs before they’re released. We don’t want to rush anything out of the oven before it’s fully baked.”

The second big change is that it’s changing the arrangement of the items in each Warbond to make room for “new item types, and also higher quality armor and weapons.” This is to prevent any weapons it adds from feeling “redundant” or armor from becoming “uninteresting.” These changes begin with the Viper Commandos Warbond as it is directly referencing feedback the community has provided, with certain poses clearly inspired by the Predator films.
