Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 map

With the introduction of the Reload mode, here are all the Fortnite maps, as well as the named locations alongside the POI's loot potential.

What does the Fortnite map look like? Chapter 5 Season 3 not only brings along with it a brand new map for the main battle royale mode, but it has also introduced Reload mode. This smaller variant has a completely different island, complete with its own POIs.

Since the battle royale game is constantly in flux, everything in this guide probably will change throughout the season. This goes also for the many Fortnite weapons, which have now completely changed and can now include attachments. So, pull up a chair as we go through the changes to the Fortnite map in Chapter 5 Season 3.

With a brand new map to explore, here are all the POIs and whether or not they’re any good for loot:

  • Redline Rig – this nitro refinery is fully operational and overseen by The Machinist. It’s fairly big with plenty of loot, but also tons of hazards.
  • Nitrodrome – an arena filled with bright neon signs, the remains of monster trucks, and potentially great loot. Just be careful of Ringmaster Scarr.
  • Brutal Beachhead – this is the base of operations for the Megalo Don’s Wasteland Warriors. As such, it’s filled with loot but a bit far from the center.
  • The Underworld – replacing Ritzy Rivera is the home of Hades. The main building complex has several god chests inside and tons of regular loot and ammo crates.
  • Grim Gate – a relatively small area guarding the path to The Underworld. It also has some god chests in its main building’s hallways, as well as lots of guns and ammo to tempt you inside.
  • Mount Olympus – this huge area replaces Hazy Hillside, but is packed with god chests, loot, and even a job board. Look to the peak of Mount Olympus in the east, far higher than the statue, to find a god chest.
  • Brawler’s Battleground – the main arena has about as much loot inside as Grim Gate, but there are plenty of items also in the structure to the east. Worth exploring if the storm begins in a forgiving place.
  • Classy Courts – not quite as good for mythic items, but a good amount of loot.
  • Grand Glacier – home to a pretty hotel with a good amount of loot, and some stunning views.
  • Lavish Lair – a decent loot haul here, but there are lots of vantage points for enemies to blast you from, so try not to linger too long.
  • Pleasant Piazza – a good amount of loot here, but the main attraction is the network of tunnels that you can use to ambush your foes.
  • Rebel’s Roost – there’s not a lot of loot here, but the underground sections have weapon cases with upgraded guns.
  • Reckless Railways – while not the best place for overall loot, there’s a lot more cover to allow you to win firefights. You can also easily catch the train here.
  • Restored Reels – now restored to its former glory, this is still relatively quiet and can yield a good amount of loot, including a weapon case hidden away underground.
  • Snooty Steppes – the steppes boast a reasonable amount of loot, but you’ll have to get lucky to bag a top-tier weapon here.

Fortnite Reload map

Here is everything you should know about the POIs in the new Fortnite Reload map:

  • Dusty Docks – one of the better places for loot in the map, though you probably shouldn’t stick around here all that long as the storm will likely affect this area.
  • Lil’ Loot Lake – home to one tiny house, this area is probably not the best drop point, but it can make for a fantastic fort if the storm allows you to.
  • Lone Lodge – another rather isolated house and one where you can be ambushed rather easily. Probably not worth bothering coming here unless desperate.
  • Pleasant Park – a small neighborhood of houses filled with loot, though being on the coast is risky.
  • Retail Row – a group of shops filled with loot you can plunder, but expect to escape from the other shoppers before the weather turns.
  • Sandy Sheets – a very small cluster of condos that don’t have much loot in them.
  • Snobby Shoals – the house and surrounding area have plenty of loot to hunt for, and the pond nearby has the potential for rare items.
  • Tilted Towers – the classic drop point is nice and central. Sure it’s a bit smaller, but it does have the best loot potential.
