All Elden Ring DLC locations

Here are all the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC map locations you need to know:

Elden Ring map: a view of the Gravesite Plain.

Gravesite Plain

This is the area where you begin your journey into the Realm of Shadows. To the far northwest is the first main dungeon of Belurat, Tower Settlement, while other notable landmarks include the Ellac Greatbridge that leads to Castle Ensis, as well as several dungeons. The most abundant enemies include stone birds, shadow people, and various knights scattered across the region.

Cerulean Coast

An optional area that requires you to take a specific route to reach. From the Castle Front Grace in Gravesite Plain, head southeast and down the hill until the road forks. Take the left path and continue around until you reach a swamp. Go around the cliff so you’re facing northwest and head upstream until you see a cave to your left after a short drop. Follow the cave, then turn left to go downstream. Carefully navigate down the waterfall and through the small area filled with electrified sheep, and you should reach the first Cerulean Coast Site of Grace.

Once you reach the Cerulean Coast, head east as far as you can and up the hill to reach this area. It’s filled with disembodied hands and magic-casting enemies with long snake-like necks. There’s also a giant horn in the far corner of this relatively small region.

Elden Ring map: a view of the Jagged Peak.

Jagged Peak

Another optional area you can reach early on, but one that may be a bit tricky to navigate until you collect lots of Elden Ring Scadutree Fragments. From the Castle Front in Gravesite Plain, head southeast and uphill until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right path, and be careful to avoid the enemies leading up to the Dragon’s Pit cave.

Navigate through this dungeon and defeat the boss. Afterward, instead of taking the shortcut out of the cave, open the doors at the far end of the room. This will lead you to the Foot of Jagged Peak. This area has a few Jagged Peak Drakes you can fight as you ascend the mountain. As you near the top, lightning will begin to strike the ground, so be careful where you step.

Elden Ring map: a view of the Scadu Altus.

Scadu Altus

Another key region in your quest and one you must reach to advance the story. You can do this by going through Castle Ensis in Gravesite Plain and beating the boss at the end. This area has a fair number of knights and other foes to contend against, as well as various routes to other regions.

While the other routes are more distinct, there’s a route here to the Temple Town Ruins to the far northwest of the Realm of Shadows. Simply head through the tunnel northeast of the Moorth Ruins, past the mages, Miranda Plants, and giant crabs. You’ll need to dodge a golem’s giant arrows before you reach Temple Town, but once you do, head to the north and through the ravine to reach the other side.

Elden Ring map: a view of the Church District..

Church District

While still technically part of Scadu Altus, reaching this place takes a bit of work. From the Moorth Ruins, head into one of the abandoned houses to the far east of the area and make your way down the tight hole in the floor. This leads you through the safe route through the chasm (unlike the more open house to the west of the ruins) that will eventually lead you to a ladder. Climb it to reach Bonny Village.

From here, make your way across the bridges to reach the Church District, where you’ll find many wolves, as well as the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, where you’ll meet Count Ymir, High Priest. You’ll also find the Church District entrance to the Shadow Keep which has multiple branching paths.

Elden Ring map: a view of the Shadow Keep.

Shadow Keep

Out of all the areas in the game, this is the one that has the most routes in and out of it, as well as multiple iconic areas. If you go through the front gate, you’ll need to fight your way through the guards before reaching the giant set of doors leading to the main castle.

The main storeroom is essentially a library filled with mages, Messmer’s elite guards, and bats. You can either ascend to the top to fight Messmer or take the other route that forks from the first floor of the storeroom to eventually get to the western ramparts. This will lead you to the Rauh Ancient Ruins.

Entering via the Church District requires you to carefully leap across perilous gaps before reaching a switch to lower the waters. From there, you can either take the elevator you passed along the way to head up to the Storeroom backrooms to ascend into the rafters before reaching the back entrance to Shadow Keep. Alternatively, head through a passage in one of the derelict churches to find the well-hidden Tree-Worship passage.

Elden Ring map: a view of the Abyssal Woods.

Abyssal Woods

This is the scariest region in the entirety of Elden Ring by far. We’ll save the surprise for you, but if you need a hand, we have an Elden Ring Abyssal Woods guide you can check out. This is also the region where you’ll find Midra’s Manse — one of the few places in the Realm of Shadows where a Legend boss resides.

To get here, instead of going into the double doors in Shadow Keep, head to the other side of the bridge leading up to it to find a gap in the wall somewhere to the east. Make your way down and carefully wade around the water around the wall until you see a way inside. Follow this route, and you should eventually find the Ruins of Unte after a quick trip inside a coffin. Head downstream and when you get as far down as possible, go east and complete the Darklight Catacombs. Upon defeating the boss, head through the gap to reach the woods.

Elden Ring map: a view of Scaduview.

Scaduview

Reaching this region requires you to reach the back entrance to the Shadow Keep. Once you climb through the rafters in the storeroom and head down the elevators, you’ll find a Site of Grace leading to the back gate. This immediate small area is home to a Legend boss, as well as a shrine with lots of Scadutree Fragments.

However, don’t be fooled into thinking this is it. Accessing the other route is far more cryptic and requires that you get the O Mother emote from a statue north of the eastern side of Bonny Village, before the bridge. You should have passed this area en route to the Shadow Keep, Back Gate. Once you have it, use the O Mother emote in front of the statue in the room to the right of the Site of Grace and it’ll open up. This area leads to the Finger Ruins of Dheo and the Shaman Village.

Elden Ring map: a view of the Rauh Ancient Ruins.

Rauh Ancient Ruins

Once you cross the Shadow Keep western ramparts, you’ll find yourself in this lush wilderness filled with bugs, powered-up knights, and even some Scarlet Rot-casting enemies. Watch your step as there are a lot of drops here. You’ll find the main boss of the region to the southwest near the Church of the Bud.

Elden Ring map: a view of Enis Ilim.

Enir-Ilim

Those Dark Souls fans who miss the hallowed halls of Anor Londo will find an eerily similar area in the final main area of the DLC. Many holy priests and powerful lion-mask knights populate the route leading up to the region’s highest point. You’ll automatically get here by beating the main boss in Rauh Ancient Ruins, then using the kindling you get for killing Messmer in the Shadow Keep to burn the tree ahead.

And that’s everything you need to know about the Elden Ring DLC map. If you want to strengthen your RPG game character, check out our guides on the Elden Ring Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Ashes to give yourself a much-needed boost.
