Each new Dreamlight Valley update adds new characters, features, and quests to the life sim, and the roster of Dreamlight Valley residents has expanded so much already – and shows no signs of slowing down. Fans on social media have previously requested the likes of Cinderella, Belle, and Stitch, and with Cinders the only one missing now, we know Gameloft is listening.
Disney Dreamlight Valley has never been better thanks to the colorful life game‘s new characters and mechanics. Its vibrant community makes it even better, especially with more multiplayer functions being added, and a paid DLC brings even more biomes and residents to your valley if you want them. Even if you don’t want to splash out on paid content, there are still plenty of new Dreamlight Valley recipes, characters, realms, and more added to the base game regularly, so here’s everything we know about the next free Dreamlight Valley update.
Next Dreamlight Valley update
Following the The Lucky Dragon update on June 26, 2024, which added another new Realm to the Castle and introduced Mulan and Mushu to the valley, the Dreamlight Valley Tiana update is due in Summer 2024.
Updates tend to be between two and three months apart now, and if we ignore the Mulan Realm update as a mid-season update, we expect we’d probably see Tiana arrive in August 2024, though it could be earlier.
That said, it’s likely Tiana arrives in the valley at the same time as the third installment of the Rift in Time DLC, which we wouldn’t expect to see any earlier than August, given that the last major paid-for content update was only released in May.
Dreamlight Valley update schedule
Update 7 pretty much reverted to the standard two-monthly schedule that Gameloft has stuck to so far, following the DreamSnaps outlier. The December update kept this trend going, and with the Laugh Floor arriving in February, we’re firmly back on track. However, we could be on track for even more regular updates this year.

- July 19, 2023: In the DreamSnaps update, take your best trackside photos as Vanellope Von Schweetz races into the valley, and a new photo contest is released.
- June 6, 2023: Update 5, The Remembering, reveals the Fairy Godmother as the resident of the pumpkin house, and adds a massive new storyline in which you come face to face with The Forgetting themselves.
- April 5, 2023: Update 4, Pride of the Valley, adds a The Lion King realm, in which a story unravels starring Simba and Nala – and a lot of Hyenas. There’s also a new surprise when you increase your friendship with Buzz.
- February 16, 2023: A Festival of Friendship reunites Olaf with Elsa, introducing us to Mirabel Madrigal and the Mini-Casita.
- December 6, 2023: Update 2, Missions in Uncharted Space lets you unlock Stitch in Dreamlight Valley, and Toy Story characters Buzz and Woody.
- October 19, 2023: Scar’s Kingdom adds Dreamlight Valley Scar quests to the Disney game, revealing the new Mines, and new resources.
