Rod Hyde founded Rowan Software in 1987 after being a self-employed computer programmer using the name H&H Software.

After Rowan Software was acquired by Empire Interactive Europe in Dec, 2000, he worked for Stratumsoft Ltd. for two years as a programmer.

In 2004 Rod founded Hasgrove plc, the parent company of a group of design, PR and digital marketing companies based in the North West of England.
