Jungle Eddi
Description
Jungle Eddi is a platform game inspired by Underwurlde and set in a jungle environment. The game consists of five levels with twenty screens each. The goal of the game is to find a door to exit, but each of the twenty screens contains two doors. In most screens entering one door makes the character appear at the other one, until the real exit is found. The screens are connected by passing the screen border in any of four directions where possible and the exit door is randomized for each session.
The character is able to perform a high jump, diagonally left or right. This is used to climb trees, reach ladders and avoid enemies. The character also needs to avoid falling down gaps at the bottom. The trees often have multiple branches that can be used to move around. Enemies can be defeated by jumping on top of them, but that is not easy to time. If the character collides with an object or a branch while jumping, he bounces back. Killing enemies is rewarded with points and additional points floating around the environment can be picked up. There are five lives at the start and every hit is fatal.
