Trichrome

A rapid-fire twitch reaction match 3 game, Trichrome has you creating large triangles with smaller colour-coded triangles in order to clear them off the board. You have 30 seconds in every round, which is replenished by making combo matches as fast as possible as well as clearing out the small triangles with dots in the middle; these are spawned into the board at the start of every level and are your main focus.

The large triangles you create can be any shape or size and even have long tails coming out of them connected to other pieces. So long as a large triangle is created within the shape somewhere, it will be cleared. Clearing two in quick succession may earn you a special piece which it in itself is covered in small triangles. Make a match entirely out of these pieces and you'll earn timer insurance, which allows you an extra 30 seconds of time in the game to finish the round, or a healthy amount of bonus points if you complete the round without expending it.

You are encouraged to be as fast as possible and earn more points for being especially speedy on matches and placement of triangles or if you get especially fancy with the large triangles you create.
