Unified Contacts is the perfect solution for Microsoft Teams users who want to streamline their communications. It extends Microsoft Teams by providing a unified search experience for the two most popular address books: Microsoft Entra ID (formly known as Azure Active Directory) and Microsoft Exchange Online. With SharePoint contact list integration, organizations can have a centralized contact list or even access contacts from third parties (e.g. CRM systems) via database synchronization.
Search results are well-structured and presented in a comprehensive format, making it easy to find the right contact. You can easily select your preferred phone number and even initiate a Microsoft Teams call, chat or email directly from the contact card. For internal colleagues, Unified Contacts also displays presence status. You can also mark contacts as favorites and display them on their own quick access page.
