Two weeks ago, our Symphony PE leadership team attended the PEI Operating Partners Forum in Napa. In addition to hosting a panel session at the conference, we also co-hosted a dinner with Riviera Partners at Domaine Carneros, bringing together tech leaders, founders, and investors for insightful discussions on industry trends and opportunities. In 2024, we have already participated in two successful PEI conferences in London and Napa, and we’re excited about our upcoming third stop in New York City this October. Building on our experiences so far, we look forward to continuing to exchange ideas with PE experts and expanding our network within the community. Over the past few days, we have shared key takeaways and learnings from recent events and are now preparing for the next conference to deliver even more insights from Symphony. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to these conversations. We look forward to continuing them in New York! Special thanks to Private Equity International for a well-organized conference and Riviera Partners for co-hosting a great dinner event!

Had a lovely chat last evening with Jonathan Labin about the ingredients needed to enable a culture that allows innovation, reinvention, and growth to thrive, and here are 3 of my favourite takeaways from the night: 1️⃣ What is a non-negotiable for innovation to succeed? Leadership commitment ⏳ And commitment goes beyond words, it translates into actions, tangibly demonstrated by time given to innovation by leaders. 2️⃣ How do you get leaders to care about innovation? Alignment to priorities 🎯 Focus on innovating where it matters and where impact is tangible. Earn that trust (and time). 3️⃣ How to encourage people to contribute? Eliminate fear 😨 The fear of looking bad, of repercussions should things go wrong inhibit innovation more than the lack of incentives. Stayed up past my usual bedtime, but such good conversations and as always, it was great to hang out with the Growth Lab community. Thank you Jonathan for joining us and sharing your insights! (That's Jonathan sharing passionately and me listening intently 😂)

Back in March, I attended Day to Grow, an event by Maxwell Leadership. One of the speakers was Jamie Kern Lima, who sold her company for 1.2B and recently wrote the book Worthy. She said, "When you double your self-worth, you can double your net worth." I've been to enough of these events to know that building a network of like-minded people is one of the best things you can do for yourself. These people—your people, help you to learn, build your confidence, and support you. When you do this, you'll see what Jamie said is true. I write about my experience at events like Day to Grow all the time in my Limitless Growth Newsletter. If you want to hear these stories, check the link in the first comment to join the list.

Figure out where other market leaders hangout in your industry… 2. The best partnerships compliment each other and usually have opposite strengths. 3. Neurologist | International key note speaker I Cambridge MBA I Brain Coach | Integrative Medicine expert
The words shall fall short of the excellent hospitality and conference held by @worldoftomorrow and Aalim Mohamed We had the best learning times and sharing times. My topic was Neuroleadership. I was excited to share the work done by LIMILTESS BRAIN LAB on mapping the successful leaders. A few key insights 1. Leading others always start by leading self 2. The brains of the leaders have a well developed frontal lobes 3. Debate between beta CEO vs Theta CEO ? Beta is a fast wave in the brain and theta is a slow brain 4. How can one slow down AMYGDALA - fight, flight and fear response. 5. How to quickly know the work from our book @future readynow about MYBRAINDESIGN assessment. 6. The gender differences in the brains - man vs woman actually MAN AND WOMAN and not VS. How unique biological diversity is required for the growth of the organizations. 7. HOW TO NOT LEAD>??? any small thing which you can do with a smile and a difference, you are a leader. I GET REMINDED OF ROBIN SHARMA'S JANITOR VIDEO WHERE HE CLAIMS HIM AS A LEADER as he just does his job the best. The leaded self, guided self , the curated self, the serving self becomes the serving country, nation and world at large. It was a delight to have had the opportunity to interact with many speaker leaders in their own fields. Each as mentioned by Aalim were total delight. Maldives hospitality is always number 1. And people are just also the best.
