Really? Really. 😶 I will say what the peons on my level won't. This is ridiculous. Marvin...you need to come to the basic level and experience what is going on in your stores. It's an absolute cluster fiasco. I might get fired over this post but at this point I don't care. I'm so stressed and at my wits end. You don't seem to care about your employees. And it HURTS....physically, emotionally, monetarily. From our perspective, you are so out of touch with what's going on on the ground level it's appauling. Spend time with the basic workers in your stores instead of going and claiming awards and congratulations. Be a Buffet or Trump or Welch. Not a whatever-the-beancounters-tell-me figurehead.

I would really like him to interview and speak with store employees and he’ll really see how “great” and “amazing” the company is. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen and experienced unprofessional and disrespectful the MODs and actual store managers are. Unless you kiss their butts there is no way you will move up within the company, get your “flexible hours” (which is a complete lie) or any sort of follow through with anything that is told to you in the hiring process. Even when it comes to the money bonuses. The complete amounts are not guaranteed and employees are being lied to about how much they are receiving. And at this point I’m calling out the store. Store number 2628 needs some serious retraining and structure. And all managers need to be monitored and retrained. I was so hoping to get a good experience from Lowe’s but I can’t say I’d ever work for Lowe’s again.

I too have had the pleasure of working for him both Home Depot and Lowe’s and did speak with him face to face during my ASM training and he is a man that deserves this award and for those saying he need to be in the stores he has been and I am sure he still does from time to time. But he also has great staff around him and they are the soldiers that are the boots on the ground reporting back to him as needed. In my opinion he and the others such as Joe and Fred and Bill just to name a few are why the majority come to work everyday to do there best for them and for our customers. They lead the way we as managers follow and our customers are the beneficiaries of his success. I would have cast my vote for him for sure given the chance.

Congratulations!! Keep up the hard work- you deserve this award!!!

Lowe’s as a company is going to be better than ever now that it has a leader that is for the people. Ethics is what Mr. Ellison is all about. I worked under him when he was at Home Depot. He is a great man and an inspirational leader.
