💔💔 𝐑𝐮𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞, 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐩. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 💔💔 Meet Salisbury! 🚨Salisbury is on the euthanasia list for 7/3/24. Your support can make a difference in their life. Let's come together to find Salisbury a loving home, a rescue, or a foster to give them a chance at a new beginning. #SaveSalisbury #AdoptDontShop 🐾 Pledges are crucial to attracting a rescue. Without fosters, rescues cannot intake animals. Sharing a post only takes a second. Refresh the page, share again. By sharing, you give a voice to a dog or cat in need. #pledges #shareapost #sharingsaveslives #betheirvoice Salisbury ANIMAL ID ACCT-A-167755 BREED Husky, Siberian SEX MaleWEIGHT60.1 lbsAGE3Y/0M/0WLOCATIONDog Intake Good Dog Meet (in Shelter) Waiver: No Kids **$1,230 in pledges for the rescue that pulls** Salisbury ACCT-A-167755 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to behavioral concerns. Salisbury must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER by Wednesday, July 3rd at 10 A.M. Should Salisbury's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Due to being significantly overcapacity with animals and higher than usual intake, extensions are unlikely to be granted. If you are interested in an animal please contact ACCT Philly immediately. Due to limited space, timestamps may also be proceeded with early so it is imperative to let us know if you are considering adopting or tagging an animal. Meet Salisbury! This handsome husky came to ACCT on 6/26 after the police found him running loose down the street. Upon arrival, Salisbury was nervous and very unsure of his new surroundings, lacking trust in staff members. He was able to medically checked in, but during his check in was noted to be very nervous and intolerant to physical contact. He tends to be aloof, preferring to sniff around rather than engage with handlers. Salisbury shows little interest in treats and has a very low tolerance for physical touch, often darting away, curving his back, or whipping his head if someone attempts to handle him. On rare occasions, he tolerates light petting for a few seconds before retreating or reacting again. However, Salisbury has shown some positive behavior when engaging in play with him. He will bounce around the room, bowing and trotting happily, as long as you do not touch him. He also was tolerant during a dog meet with another dog in the shelter. Salisbury's initial interactions with handlers have shown that he does not enjoy close interaction and would benefit from being with an experienced, husky-savvy rescue partner who can respect his boundaries and work patiently to build his trust and tolerance for physical contact. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details.

Salisbury is highly stressed in the animal control facility environment. Foster/rescue or adoption urgently needed. Pledges needed. Reposting to broaden network awareness of his status on the kill list.

Allowing an animal from a shelter to decompress is crucial. Shelters can be incredibly stressful environments for animals, and without the opportunity to decompress, they are being set up for failure.
