I’m not asking whether you’re tracking your organic traffic. I’m asking whether you’re getting real insights like where visitors to your Google Business Profile listing are coming from and which web pages they view. Insights that will help you get the most from your SEO and give you a competitive edge. I love Google Business Profile’s for many reasons – it’s free and simple to use, but it can also be easily customised to provide really valuable data. All you need to do to collect this extra data is set up a ‘custom URL’ using Google’s Campaign URL Builder. It’s a self-explanatory step-by-step process which doesn’t take long – and you’ll then have valuable info on searchers and their behaviour on your GBP listing through Google Analytics at your fingertips. Sustainable SEO: How To Focus On A Lasting SEO Strategy 🌱🌱 Just as sustainable practices are critical for the long-term well-being of the planet, they’re also vital for your business success over the long-term. Enter sustainable SEO. Yes, setting up your SEO properly at the start is really, really important but it’s not a ‘set and forget’ thing. It’s only through regular time and effort spent on SEO that businesses can maintain high page rankings on Google and ensure they’re seen and found by their target audience. These are my top three tips for sustainable SEO: 1️⃣ Have outstanding cornerstone content and revise and add to it regularly. How are they searching for your business? Is your content helpful? In other words, does it answer their questions, meet their needs, provide valuable insights or helpful advice? Is it original and engaging? Is it readable (by humans and the search engines) and is it optimised properly to be findable? 3️⃣ Focus on building a strong internal linking strategy to show Google which are the key pages on your website.
