For the past 13 years I have had the honor and distinct pleasure of counting myself amongst the talented, wonderful and dedicated team of Spartans that make up 343 Industries. These 13 years have been the most rewarding, fulfilling, challenging and fun years of my career and I can confidently say that my entire life and that of my family has been transformed for the better as a result - so it’s with a strong bittersweet sentiment that I share with you that this was my last week at 343 Industries and Microsoft. I’m forever grateful to every single person I had the opportunity to collaborate with - from my time in Test, to Playtest, to Production and everything in between - I’m proud of what we were able to build for launch, and everything that we’ve accomplished since then - the heart, the drive, the passion and the care that everyone at 343 pours into delivering the best possible Halo is beyond evident. Thank you for allowing me to count myself amongst your ranks. Thank you for giving me the space and the freedom to be myself. Thank you for the love and support received during the cloudy days, and for the laughter, joy and camaraderie during the bright times. You’re all rock stars and I will miss you all dearly. Continue being your awesome selves, keep fighting the good fight and channel that indomitable Spartan spirit knowing that your work brings joy to millions of fellow gamers every single day - you are appreciated! I’m staying in the gaming industry but will be taking some time off to spend with my family to rest and recharge. As a fan, thanks for all of your hard work on Halo over the years. I love the Sandbox in Halo Infinite that you helped create. Enjoy the well-deserved time off with family, & best of luck to you in whatever comes next. I'll keep an eye out for your next game, I'm sure it will be great! In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for any "343 Bachici" Spartan bots in-game, (and will hope they aren't on my team 🙃 ).

James! I have many great memories working with you, both in the playtest lab and as a producer. I will miss the Halo 5 playtest days especially, you were always very upbeat and had a contagious excitement, always bringing the mood up. I'll also miss drawing random stuff on your whiteboards. 😂 Glad you're taking some time to recharge and be with family, whichever studio you end up at next will be lucky to have you!
