Embrace SDK: Enhancing Mobile App Monitoring and Performance

Murtuza Ali Khan Mohammed If you're referring to the demo app that Austin is running, that's just a demo app to test the telemetry that our SDK emits. So there aren't really any secrets or tokens to worry about. Unless you create an Embrace account and want to send data there. In which case, if you are running the demo app locally, there shouldn't be any worry about secrets/tokens since you're not publishing that. It's just for locally testing the SDK.

Colin Contreary thanks and it is a nice idea to implement

The OpenTelemetry collector allows you to set up your own processing and transformations (like encryption), but the Embrace collector does not do this right now because we do not collect any PII. We do some transformations, like for URLs and webviews, to remove possible sensitive information contained in URLs.

Hi Cisco, Embrace doesn't collect any PII by default: https://embrace.io/privacy/

Does the protocol for telemetry you use has encryption? Or can only transmit non PII?
