To ensure compliance with Nigerian immigration laws, the company has obtained expatriate quotas that specify the number and roles of foreign employees it can hire. Corporate Immigration update — Effective 16 February 2024, The Netherlands’ labour authorities, UWV, require receiving information about the Dutch address of the assignee as part of the work permit application. Key points to consider include: (1) This requirement applies to the application for work permits and combined work & residence permit (GVVA) applications. (2) Should the address be considered unsuitable, the application may be rejected. (3) Affected could be companies that home their assignees in staff houses, or register multiple assignees on one address. (4) Contact our immigration department to verify your offered address, or contact our DSP department to book the correct and approved housing for your assignees.
