Krispy Kreme is coming to McDonald’s The world’s largest fast-food chain is making it easier to construct your own donut burger (not that you should). In its latest bid to boost breakfast and snack sales, McDonald’s will soon sell three of Krispy Kreme’s most popular donuts all day at restaurants across the US, the companies announced yesterday. Following a successful pilot program at some McD’s locations in Kentucky, Krispy Kreme’s original glazed, chocolate iced with sprinkles, and chocolate iced with cream filling will start joining some Golden Arches menus later this year. By the end of 2026… McDonald’s plans to offer the donuts at all of its ~13,500 US locations, which could also lift its coffee business. The deal will more than double the locations where Krispy Kreme donuts are sold, the company’s CEO said. Pretty sweet: Krispy Kreme’s stock (aptly named DNUT) soared nearly 40% yesterday, reaching its highest point in two years and doing donuts around the company’s previous single-day gains record. The pastry purveyor had been down 20% this year amid investor concerns that weight-loss drugs might negatively affect the snack space.

Wow……. 60% The gross margin on prepared food and beverages at Casey’s General Stores, a Midwest convenience-store chain that also happens to be America’s fifth-largest pizza purveyor by number of kitchens. Its margin on fuel is closer to 10%. Casey’s and other convenience stores are trying to grab a bigger piece of the food business, which can offer appetizing margins.

At the start of this month I've launched a brand new #gamified campaign to boost our sales in Dessert Category. 🍩 We have some yummy #desserts on our menu at Dodo Pizza, yet less than half of our customers have ever tried one! The reason? Simple yet astounding. Sweet things are perceived as a treat rather than a food of choice, especially in #QSR segment. For our clients, there must be a reason for a treat - either a personal or an external one. No reason = no sales. What we did was simple yet brilliant: we've provided the clients with a reason to treat themselves with something tasty once in a while. So we've launched a system where each day you can get a new personal discount on two random products from the category. The discounts? Completely random. The products? As well. You can either check your offers each day or simple stumble upon something new and alluring in both price and taste. We've invited our clients to both try their luck and hunt for new flavors. 🎂 The numbers are nothing to scoff at: +15% sales growth over past 2 weeks +3% category growth total (record-breaking) +88,000 additional orders over past 2 weeks A sweet result if I do say so myself. 🍬
