Now that I’m back on the job market, I ha s a couple focused goals I want to do differently that previous searches.
I want to get certified in Project Management
I’ve worked as a Senior UX Designer on projects for game development, e-commerce, VR/AR, and more. I want to lead projects and manage their timelines, understanding what designers need at each step of the process and lead teams in Agile methods to get their jobs done. I’d love to move into managing UX teams. I’m currently earning my certificate in PM from Duke University, and I want fo complete my certificate program while searching.
Personal Game Dev Projects
I want to mock up player flows and UI to show some games I’d love to create. I love creating weapons systems, inventory, HUD displays, and more. I also want to learn more level design. I love world building and at my last position learned a lot about what it takes to be a level designer. On Romancelvania, I worked creating custom textures and in Blender to make the intro level and I loved it. I want to focus my time on adding more to my portfolio in terms of how I work in game development and design.
Networking
I’d love to get to know more people in my industry and reach out to make real connections. I’m most passionate about game development, tech, entertainment, e-commerce, science, healthcare, and I’m open to learning about more industries.
AI/Generative models
Ive been working for a year in designing AI/ML workflows using RLHF loops to make level building easier for game developers. With a year of working with AI, I’ve learned a lot about how to create user experiences with its models. I’m eager to shape where this technology goes in the future and help in a variety of industries by speaking up about how AI could and should be used, especially when it comes to artists/designers and keeping them at the forefront.
If you want to chat, don’t hesitate to reach out! I’ll be sharing my journey as I go through the process of finding my next opportunity.
