After beating breast cancer last year, my kick-ass wife is now trekking the Himalayas to help others do the same. Read her story here!
A University of Sunderland lecturer is preparing to embark on a challenge of a lifetime to raise awareness of breast cancer. Rachel Makin was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2022. As a young mother of a two-year-old she knew the impact of cancer more than many. Rachel lost her mother to the disease when she was a four-year-old and lost her father to cancer when she was only 11. Now, two years on from her diagnosis Rachel has been given the all-clear and in November, she will be trekking across the Indian Himalayas in support of CoppaFeel! to raise awareness of breast cancer among young people.
Had no idea your wife had cancer but so happy she has kicked its ass, well done to you both! Will make sure to donate!
