Digital & Creative Marketing; Branding Strategist 📸 Social Media Manager 📲 | Freight Marketing Advocate 🚛💨 Marketing for LoadPartner.io 🤠
I'm taking a page out of Reed's book and made a video recapping my Mid-America Trucking Show 2024 (my first logistics/supply chain conference) experience. I just had such a great time, and I have too many names to shout out and thank for being a part of this experience, so I figured I'd make a video highlighting it all! It's lengthy, I don't blame you if you don't watch it all. But my closing statement is pretty simple: Don't wait! Go to these conferences! Especially if you haven't already. Meet your internet LinkedIn/FreightX friends IRL. You won't regret it. You'll make special memories. If you work in any capacity of the logistics industry, I better be seeing ALL of you at MATS 2025. It's gonna be a movie. Special shout outs to: -Adam DeGroot and the Dock411 team for opening up their Airbnb to me for Thursday night! -TruckSmarter & LOST FR8 for the 10TWENTY brewery happy hour -Reed Loustalot for organizing and hosting the Patrick O'Shea's Please Advise meetup Thursday night -Sense Per Mile for hosting the very fun PBR VIP party Friday night -Truckstop, just because I witnessed greatness and a historic FreightX event -There's soooo many more names mentioned! Too many shout outs to type SAY NO TO CHEAP FREIGHT #mats #mats2024 #midamericatruckingshow #logistics #freight #supplychain #logisticsconference #freightconference

Yesterday's Lobster Nordics Network Meeting at the scenic Hindsgavl Slot left an indelible mark of inspiration and collaboration. The event was not only about deepening business connections but also about sparking intellectual engagement through meaningful discussions. Our Nordics Regional Manager, Lisbeth Blom, set the perfect tone with her welcoming address, followed by insightful presentations from CEO Tim Srock, and Dr. Matthias Fellenberg, Managing Director of Lobster PRO. Their discussions illuminated various aspects of Lobster's vision and practical applications that resonate with our everyday work. The networking segment was particularly dynamic, offering invaluable opportunities to connect with peers, explore potential collaborations, and gain new perspectives. Special thanks to Anders Søborg, Founder and Director at Evolve, whose talk on ESG transformation was both enlightening and thought-provoking, stimulating a rich exchange of ideas among attendees. This event was more than just an exchange of contact information; it was a celebration of new relationships, shared stories, and collective laughter! Heartfelt thanks to all participants who made this event a success with their active engagement and enthusiasm. We also extend our gratitude to our partners, Novicell and Mariendal IT, for their tremendous support and collaboration. Looking forward to our future gatherings and the continued success of our network! #LobsterNordics2024 #NetworkingSuccess #ESGInnovation #ForwardTogether

The Maverick Forwards: The Importance of Making a Decision and Staying One Step Ahead I recently had the opportunity to read the latest issue (3/2024) of the Breakbulk Events & Media Magazine which features Rudolf Reisdorf, the owner of Fracht Group - Switzerland, Fracht Group - North America and all other branches worldwide, in its cover story. When sharing this issue within the company he emphasized the fact that this article is not about his achievements, but about the achievements of the company as a whole. In his words: "Really, it's not a one man show - it's the team - it's our team and our family spirit that make the difference". In the article he asserts that even if not every decision optimal, the act of decision-making is the most crucial aspect of any project, regardless of its outcome. He states: "There are generally only two things on my table: Problems and opportunities, both of which cost money." As the company is wholly owned by the family decisions are made fast and communication paths are short. The company's investments are always financed from within the company, thereby limiting the number of shareholders and stakeholders. Moreover, for a company with such a global reach it is important to make every employee feel as important and special as they are. The partnership with Inter Miami CF serves to unite the company even further and foster the sense of a global family. As stated in the article the succession is secured by his daughters which I am one of. I am incredibly grateful for the given opportunity and extremely inspired by the work of my grandfather and my father. I can't wait to start myself after finishing my Master in International Management/CEMS WU Vienna. Happy Saturday, everyone! Something to think about as you enjoy your weekend. We're all in this together, and that's why the Broker Carrier Summit is so important. If Brokers and Carriers embark on a bold initiative to proactively understand each other and work together as a cohesive group, the freight industry has no choice but to get better. Here are some reasons why any freight broker, motor carrier, or other freight industry stakeholder should make it a point to attend the Broker Carrier Summit Summit in Fort Worth, Texas, this October: 1. Networking Opportunities: Connect with industry leaders and peers (Certified #NonScumbags)to build strong professional relationships. 2. Innovative Solutions: Discover the latest technologies and strategies to enhance your business operations. 3. Educational Sessions: Learn from expert speakers about trends, challenges, and best practices in the freight industry. 4. Collaboration: Foster partnerships that can lead to improved efficiency and profitability for everyone involved. Last month, we had the pleasure of attending the Reverse Logistics Association (RLA) 20th annual Conference and Expo in Las Vegas. After taking time to reflect, we wanted to share some key takeaways from our co-founders, Sean Miles and Paul Logsdon 1. The Power of In-Person Connection: While travel in your 20s might be easier, there's something truly special about reconnecting with industry colleagues face-to-face after the COVID hiatus. 2. A Wealth of Knowledge to Unpack: From insightful compliance sessions to thought-provoking discussions on sustainability and customer value, the RLA conference offered a treasure trove of learning opportunities. 3. A Goldmine of Feedback and Inspiration: Networking wasn't just about exchanging business cards; it was about gathering valuable feedback on our work with RGX and gleaning ideas for improvement. We'd love to hear your thoughts! Thank you to the RLA for organizing such a successful event. We look forward to seeing you again next year! #RLA #RLAvegas2024 #reverselogistics #supplychain #recycling

As a business owner, you may have considered presenting your company at an international trade fair to showcase your products or services, network with potential partners or clients, and gain exposure to new markets. But is it worth the time, money and effort? Here are some pros and cons of participating in an international trade fair. Pros: - You can reach a large and diverse audience of buyers, suppliers, distributors, investors and media representatives from different countries and regions. - You can demonstrate your products or services in person, answer questions, collect feedback and generate leads. - You can learn from your competitors, discover new trends and opportunities, and benchmark your performance. - You can build your brand awareness and reputation, establish trust and credibility, and enhance your image as a global player. - You can create or strengthen your business relationships, find new partners or collaborators, and expand your network. Cons: - You may face high travel costs, accommodation, registration, booth design and setup, marketing materials, shipping, insurance and taxes. - You may encounter logistical challenges such as customs clearance, transportation delays, language barriers, cultural differences and legal issues. - You may have to deal with fierce competition, price wars, intellectual property theft, counterfeit products or unfair trade practices. - You may have to allocate a lot of time and resources to prepare for the trade fair, train your staff, follow up with leads and evaluate the results. - You may have to deal with stress, fatigue, jet lag, health risks or security threats. Participating in an international trade fair can be a rewarding experience for your company if you plan ahead, set clear goals and expectations, choose the right trade fair for your industry and target market, and make the most of the opportunities. However, you should also be aware of the potential challenges and risks, and weigh them against the benefits. Ultimately, the decision depends on your company's objectives, budget and capabilities. You can find us on an International trade fair MOS 2023 (Celjski sejem d.d.) until Sunday, 17.9.2023. We are located in hall L1, spot 13. #sim83 #drivingsimulators #logistics #celjefair #mos2023 #celjskisejem
