An investment firm located on the North Shore is seeking an experienced tax professional to join their tax team as a Vice President of Tax. This position will be responsible for the day to day operations of the corporate tax team and will manage the requisite data and reviewing returns, as well as managing tax audits and controversies. This is a hybrid in-office position and the firm is looking to pay up to $175k on a base plus bonus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Forecasting the annual effective tax rate and recording quarterly tax provision in accordance with ASC 740-270
Calculating the annual consolidated tax provision in accordance with ASC 740
Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual SEC disclosures, including income tax footnote and other tax disclosures
Managing portions of the global compliance process, working with external service providers, and leveraging internal resources to complete filings timely and efficiently
Overseeing estimates and extension calculations
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of corporate tax provision and compliance experience, including hands-on
preparation of provisions and returns
A bachelor’s or other degree in accounting; public accounting firm experience and a CPA (or progress
toward a CPA) is desirable
Experience with partnerships and/or international tax compliance is a plus
