ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven and experienced leader to serve as our VP of Operations across both about-face and af94 brands. The VP of Operations will play a pivotal role in owning the success of the Operations function and team, working cross-functionally with Product Development and Marketing departments. The ideal candidate is skilled at finding efficiencies and cost reductions, and has a proven track record in all aspects of operations: sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, forecast and demand planning, inventory tracking, vendor relationships and management, etc. This individual is a strong leader and mentor who is passionate about beauty, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Salary range: $180,000 - $220,000.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Bring a strategic and long-term operations vision for both about-face and af94 brands
• Champion and own operations processes—auditing and improving existing processes to minimize operational challenges and inefficiencies
• Build new operational processes if needed to support company growth
• Own, update, and actualize operations projections along with departmental budget management
• Oversee all aspects of supply chain, logistics, inventory tracking, retail operations, invoicing and collections, vendor relationships and management, etc.
• Lead and manage the operations department, motivating and mentoring team members for successful results
• Work closely with Finance to track inventory, interpret data, and streamline reporting processes
• Build and maintain strong cross functional relationships through timely communication and follow up
• Work closely with the CEO, Marketing, Sales, and Product Development teams to inform long-term decision making around product roadmap and innovation strategy
• Oversee the ordering of items for assigned skus, including maintaining systems weekly to reflect changes to delivery dates
• Oversee open orders and shipments of materials, packaging and finished goods to ensure that goods come in on time and in full: resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
• Own and upload item master information into ERP/data warehouse/shared drives
• Prepare and execute month end inventory control activities
• Perform analysis, report and drive resolution on past due deliveries or aging inventory held at suppliers

WHAT YOU HAVE

• Bachelor's Degree in Operations or related field
• 10+ years experience in Operations
• Beauty background preferred
• Cosmetics experience preferred
• Start-up experience in a similar role at a consumer brand preferred
• Proficiency with NetSuite required
• Proficiency with CPG
• Ability to handle complex portfolios e.g. multiple SKUs, multiple countries, multiple vendors, etc.
• Ability to work well with counterparts at retailers
• Experienced in root cause analysis and risk assessment
• Ability to act as a mentor to teams, motivating employees to grow and achieve results
• Strong inter-functional skills
• Strong leadership skills and impeccable judgment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong passion and belief in the about-face and af94 brands
• Advanced in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Light travel required
