Crawford Memorial United Methodist Church in Winchester, MA is a growing, progressive congregation looking for a qualified and dependable manger to join our staff as our Technical Production Manager. The successful candidate will guide our Sunday morning live-stream efforts and help expand/improve our AV and hybrid opportunities throughout all aspects of church life.


Responsibilities

·      Manage the team of tech assistants, whether youth or adults, ensuring there is the necessary coverage to run the livestream during all Sunday morning services (currently one service, at 10 am).

·      Recruit and train new tech assistants, and participate in the interview process for new hires.

·      Communicate and troubleshoot with the livestream host when they identify issues with the stream.

·      Handle post production, including: 

o   Editing the stream and title slide and post on YouTube.

o   Communicating with WinCam about what to broadcast that week.  

o   Pulling out the sermon and sometimes other special events for separate posting. 

o   Fixing or minimizing any issues in the recording.

·      Keep equipment charged and software/firmware updated.

·      Ensure coverage for occasional special services, including Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and at least one of our Christmas Eve services. 

·      When requested, ensure coverage for weddings or funerals. Additional compensation will be provided by the parties for weddings and funerals.

·      Coordinate with the Pastor and Music Director to confirm or adjust the setup for each Sunday to accommodate appropriate audio and video coverage for soloists, other musicians, additional worship participants, communion, baptisms, and the like.

·      Make recommendations for equipment or other physical adjustments or upgrades necessary to improve our production capabilities, not only for the livestream and in-person worship experience, but also throughout the building. Assist in finding appropriate vendors/installers for such upgrades.

·      Submit an annual report for the fall Church Conference and submit timely budget requests for tech assistants, supplies, subscription costs, or capital items.

·      Other related duties as needed.


Qualifications

·      Experience in setting up audio and video for hybrid events.

·      Conversant in audio and video equipment and best practices.

·      Familiarity with OBS Studio.

·      Experience managing both youth and adults; management of volunteers a plus.

·      Familiarity with a church environment a plus.

·      Must be over 18.
