Technical Artist - Unreal Engine

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Technical Artist to join our team. This is a remote position working with the latest version of Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of 3D art pipelines and tools, as well as a solid technical background. Collaboration and communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with artists and programmers to develop and maintain efficient and effective workflows for creating and implementing assets in Unreal Engine
• Create and maintain tools and scripts to streamline art production processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to art and game development workflows
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Unreal Engine and share knowledge and best practices with the team
• Implement and optimize assets for real-time rendering in Unreal Engine
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technical artists and other team members as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Technical Artist, preferably in the gaming industry
• Proficient in Unreal Engine and its associated tools, such as Blueprints, Materials, and Sequencer
• Strong understanding of 3D art fundamentals, including modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation
• Experience creating and maintaining tools and scripts in Unreal Engine or other game engines
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C++ and Python is a plus
• Understanding of real-time rendering techniques and optimization strategies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for gaming and staying updated with industry trends and advancements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
