Overview

The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for being a creative leader to design, direct, and manage all recruiting activities at Covenant Logistics. This position will be proactive with the management of sourcing and engagement of high-quality talent and will identify and hire talent that will enable the business to achieve its strategic goals. The Talent Acquisition Manager must maintain awareness of competitor practices, industry trends, recruitment standards, and lead a successful Affirmative Action Program. The Talent Acquisition Manager will also be responsible for leading and developing the Talent Acquisition team.

Responsibilities

· Manage all Enterprise job requisitions as received by hiring managers.

· Responsible for recruitment of director level and above requisitions.

· Communicate with hiring managers to recommend strategies for identifying and recruitment of potential candidates.

· Generate leads and source candidates by developing sourcing pools and talent pipelines that include posting job ads through job boards, social media, state employment agencies, professional associations, temp agencies, recruiting agencies, and direct marketing.

· Collaborate with hiring manager(s) to establish interviewing criteria (standardized email, in person, and phone screening questions) per opening.

· Develop key metrics and analyze efforts and results.

· Use available tools to maintain appropriate documentation on all candidates, searches, and other sourcing activities.

· Coach hiring managers on interview techniques and common practice as related to general employment laws.

· Lead Affirmative Action hiring requirements to include ongoing development of Careers section of company website, tracking, and reporting of new annual goals, applicant flow log, and outreach logs. Provides ongoing support to ensure enterprise compliance for AAP Goals.

· Help ensure that all potential candidates receive reference checks.

· Make recommendations to hiring managers on the top candidates for in-person interviews.

· Following approvals, communicate formal job offer letters to selected final candidates and communicate any negotiations or finalizations with hiring team.

· Review all offers for compensation equity for the organization.

· Oversee company career fairs and networking events in the community.

· Continuously measure results to maximize capability to attract and hire the best talent

· Conduct ongoing evaluation of innovative and emerging sourcing tools.

· Provide guidance to the Talent Acquisition Specialist with all TA processes to include sourcing, recruitment, policies, procedures, and other recruiting job duties assigned.

Qualifications

· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

· High level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms. (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)

· Basic knowledge of labor laws, regulations and practices as it relates to recruiting.

· Comprehensive knowledge of ethical and professional recruitments standards associated with employment in their specific sector or industry.

· Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment and communicate well with others.

· Strong internal and external customer service skills.

· High level communication skills; verbal and nonverbal.

· Excellent training and coaching skills.

· Ability to work in a fast paced constantly changing environment.

· Knowledge of contracts, such as non-disclosure agreements and service level agreements.

· Working knowledge of the full life cycle of recruitment process is required.

· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or similar degree required. One year of equivalent work experience may be substituted for each year of required education.

· 5+ years of management experience required.

· 5+ years of job screening and hiring practices experience required.

· SHRM-CP or SPHR certifications preferred.

· Transportation Industry experience preferred.

Competitive Compensation

Covenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.

Pay Range: $79,139.86-$124,188.70

Pay Grade: 10
