Staff Accountant

The Keller Group is proud to support a leading publicly traded company in The Greater Phoenix Area in their search for a Staff Accountant. This position will play a key role in their accounting department, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with financial reporting, month-end close processes, reconciliations, and various financial analyses.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform account reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries as necessary.
• Assist with external audit preparation and liaison with auditors.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably with public accounting experience.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
