The Sr Director Sales Excellence is responsible for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of our sales team by developing, implementing, and managing strategies and processes that drive sales performance and growth at Akumin. This role will involve collaborating with various departments, analyzing sales data, and leading initiatives to improve sales productivity, training, and best practices.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Sales Strategy Development:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives.
- Identify and prioritize sales opportunities and market trends.
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs for the sales team.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions with sales team members.
- Identify inefficiencies in sales processes and implement improvements.
- Standardize sales methodologies and best practices across the organization.
- Leverage CRM tools and other technologies to enhance sales operations.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales strategies with business goals.
- Serve as a liaison between the sales team and senior management.
- Communicate sales initiatives, goals, and performance to stakeholders.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and plans.
- Track and report on sales pipeline and forecast accuracy.
- Adjust strategies based on market conditions and sales performance.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) years of experience commercial operations / sales excellence experience within healthcare industry.
- Expertise in leveraging CRM tools (Salesforce) to drive productivity and impact.
- Track record of developing and implementing sales strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives.
- Strong leadership and management skills and success in building and leading a results driven team of sales professionals.
- Solid business acumen, strategic planning, problem solving and relationship building skills.
- Strong communication, planning and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with senior level and executive management.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with other department heads and staff members at all levels of the organization to create a team-oriented environment.
- Highly effective time management skills and ability to multi-task efficiently.
- Master's degree in business.
- Sales or consulting experience.
