Sr. Accounting Analyst

The Role

This role will be a significant member of the corporate accounting team, supporting all brands in the portfolio by ensuring timely and accurate financial statements. It will report directly into the Controller and work closely other members of the accounting team, as well as the office managers in each location. The right candidate will have the desire and capabilities to grow in responsibilities as the business grows.

Primary Responsibilities

· Reconcile balance sheet accounts and be the leader who understands root causes of variances, proposes solutions, and resolves discrepancies.

· Maintain an accurate accounting ledger by posting journal entries in accordance with GAAP accrual accounting standards.

· Identify and drive process improvements and efficiencies throughout the close process

· Responsible for weekly cash reconciliations and monthly bank reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and working collaboratively to resolve open items

· Perform testing on system upgrades and integrations

· Lead credit card transaction posting process in collaboration with brand office managers

· Own corporate credit card administration processes

· Perform analysis on payroll to properly allocate costs to the P&L

· Manage forward momentum of projects alongside day-to-day responsibilities

· Develop strong relationships with the accounting team and brand office managers

· Attend relevant training sessions and meetings

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience

· 5 years accounting experience, minimum

· Intermediate Excel skills

· Adaptability and self-drive

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA or CPA

· Experience with Quickbooks

· Experience testing systems during upgrades or integrations
