Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

• Ability to understand internal Business Strategy and provide consult on Procurement - Sourcing Strategy that leans into the Business strategy

• Contracting skills - Skilled in structuring agreements to provide continuity during transitions and assembling support teams and Technology

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Technology Sourcing, specific experience in Professional Services and Business Application Software

• Certified Purchase Professional such as CPM or CIPS preferred


Contract and Supplier Management Experience:

• Advanced computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office and Excel

• Demonstrated success in achieving savings goals and other performance metrics

• Demonstrated relationship management, influencing, negotiation, and persuasion skills

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication


This is a Global Procurement – Sourcing Lead role responsible for managing and executing all Procurement and Sourcing activities relating to Technology requirements from the Business. The role will focus on Technology Professional Services and Software requirements. This is a Global role working across all regions.

The role is responsible for working with Senior Business leaders to align the Procurement Strategy to the Business Strategy. A key part of the role is to independently manage Supplier competitive events and Contract execution. The role works with large cross functional teams to ensure best in class execution of Procurement - Sourcing events and Contracts and leverages the internal network of partners to execute at speed. The role is required to manage contract negotiations related to Commercial terms. A key part of the role is to continually build the category strategy and ensure deal and contract execution is in line with the Strategy and within risk profile.

The primary means by which the performance of the individual will be assessed will be internal Business satisfaction, creating and delivering on Procurement - Sourcing Strategies, execution of Contracts and projects, sourcing savings, and leadership (though an individual contributor role) and adherence to standards, procedures and policies.


Sourcing Specialist Responsibilities:

• Recognize the requirements that internal Businesses have for the category and their strategic and tactical initiatives that will impact the category needs

• Leverage Client spend and Supplier scale across internal Businesses

• Using experience, internal Client knowledge and outside research, understand the market position of incumbent Suppliers as well as pre-eminent and emerging Suppliers for the category (regionally and by business as needed)

• Partner with Supplier Management and Third Party Risk Management to understand Supplier performance and that the risk profiles are incorporated into the category Strategy or are used to revise the Strategy as needed

• Utilize a standard Procurement - Sourcing methodology (define requirements, develop a sourcing strategy, develop the RFP/negotiate the deal, implement, and manage the engagement)

• Ensure work is competitively bid wherever appropriate and help clients select the best source of supply for competed deals. Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of Requests for Proposal (eRFx’s) for Global initiatives, which includes RFP drafting, managing deadlines, reviewing proposals, developing scoring matrices, preparing Supplier selection recommendations, and pricing negotiations

• Manage and maintain effective contract and commercial terms with existing Suppliers, aimed at reducing risk and achieving market competitive commercial terms to reduce total cost of ownership

• Lead the Sourcing process and Supplier negotiations, utilizing support organizations such as Third Party Utility, Sourcing Utilities, Finance and Legal to implement projects

• Structure and negotiate new Master Agreements and Work Orders/Statements of Work/Schedules, as well as manage Supplier contract disputes

• Provide direction to Sourcing Utilities on the execution of the low complex projects and contracts. Maximize use of the Sourcing Utilities for low complex work to drive efficiency

• Ensure adherence to all relevant standards, procedures, policies, ethical practices and relevant laws and regulations
