Reporting to the Associate Director of Engineering, the Senior Structural Engineer will oversee the design and preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and capital authorization applications for engineering projects. This role involves selecting materials, equipment, and services, as well as managing construction and equipment installation at various company facilities across the US, Canada, and Mexico. Responsibilities include managing project budgets, schedules, and conducting on-site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications. The position also entails providing engineering guidance to staff engineers, technicians, and other team members as needed.

Engineer IV: $108,900-$130,680
Engineer V: $123,675-$148,410
Engineer VI: $135,000-$162,000
Key Responsibilities:
Develop designs, specifications, and cost estimates for civil and structural projects, including facility and heavy industrial equipment foundation designs
Provide project and on-site construction management to ensure project requirements are met
Utilize in-depth knowledge of current industrial facility construction practices and technical expertise in structural analysis and design using steel, concrete, and wood
Demonstrate strong technical written communication, oral presentation, customer interaction, teamwork, and leadership skills
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
PE license required
Extensive knowledge of heavy industrial facility construction practices
Comprehensive technical understanding of structural analysis and design in steel, concrete, and wood
Experience in project and construction management
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Ability to work in confined spaces and in a physically demanding environment (e.g., paper mill conditions)
Comfort with heights and climbing ladders
Must-Haves:
Minimum of 15 years of experience
Project management experience
Industrial structural engineering experience
Located in or willing to relocate to Hartsville, SC
Design experience in relevant fields
