The Senior Recruiter position is responsible for developing and establishing specified strategies, programs and processes, partnering with hiring leaders to meet business placement objectives, by attracting and hiring diverse, top talent. This position sources, assesses and negotiates offers, ensuring alignment with the strategies and business goals of the departments they support. In addition to performing the duties of a recruiter, this position provides strong strategic consulting to departments on process, compliance and expectation setting in the recruitment environment.
The Senior Recruiter position provides mentorship to team members, serving as a recruitment subject matter expert, resulting in the adherence to standards of practice for optimal safety, quality outcomes, and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works closely with hiring management to understand their business, identifying recruitment strategies and providing recruitment and workforce planning services to meet the needs to hire talented and diverse candidates.
Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, understanding their staffing needs, and collaborating to develop effective recruitment strategies.
Provide valuable insights on talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive landscape within the department's industry to guide recruitment strategies.
Recruits passive and active candidates through a variety of creative recruitment strategies and tools; using latest available technology, social media platforms, networking, and numerous job boards, while utilizing cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
Provides information regarding Harris County opportunities to applicants, emphasizing the employer of first choice.
Conduct thorough candidate assessments to evaluate skills, qualifications, and cultural fit. Present top-notch candidates to hiring managers and facilitate interview processes.
Ensures a positive applicant and hiring manager experience throughout the hiring process which includes timely application follow up, interview status, and candidate dispositioning.
Serves as talent consultant on best practices and recruiting to clients and peers.
Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the areas of recruiting, and Human Resources by reading appropriate books, journals, articles, and literature and attending professional development activities including webinars and professional association meetings.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Seven (7) years of related experience.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects set service level agreements and meets and exceed customer expectations.
