About the Role

Wild One is seeking a Senior Product Development & Production Manager to drive, develop and procure products globally. Reporting to the Co-Founder and Chief Supply Chain Officer of Wild One, you will source and develop new product innovations and make recommendations for important improvements to existing products. Throughout development and sample production, you will utilize creative problem solving skills while working with global suppliers and complex supply chains. You will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams across the Very Great platform. 

This hybrid-remote role is located in NYC and reports directly to our Co-Founder & Chief Supply Chain Officer of Wild One. This role will require in-person meetings in-office. 

Responsibilities

Product Development

• Support the product development lifecycle from concept to commercialization including market research, material sourcing, product features, pricing structure, assortment, packaging development and performance standards
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment on design objectives and project requirements. Including product briefing for design, packaging and content creation
• Communicate timelines, updates for sample deliverables and new product details to key stakeholders
• Manage all pre-production and bulk production sample development from initial sign-off with Creative and Brand Leadership to delivery of samples for photo or sales
• Work with Industrial Designers (freelance) and Vendors on Tech Packs and color renders
• Work with creative, wholesale and warehouse on new packaging development and .com shipment packout guidelines

Production

• Generate and manage new Purchase Orders and manage Production with Global Suppliers
• Generate all new product operational details including but not limited to GS1 UPC, SKU, Barcode, Case Packs, Product Dims, Price Lists, Wholesale needs etc
• Foster internal and external relationships to identify and implement continuous improvements, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness. This may include strength standards, merchandising and color shade bands.
• Partner with Operations on freight and inbound communication to warehouse, sales and marketing
• Coordinate with Planning on open production schedules to review priorities and packaging needs, and proactively identify any direct ship needs or opportunities
• Book and review quality control documentation for bulk production and regulatory 3rd party testing 

Requirements

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in Project Development, Production and Sourcing
• Experience in managing new product development of consumer goods from concept through commercialization
• Adept project manager with experience in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, maintaining databases and file management
• Solutions-oriented mindset with ability to identify and generate alternative paths forward with the ability to seamlessly pivot when necessary.
• Experience working with domestic and Asia-Pacific factories and willing to communicate during off hours with Asia-Pacific suppliers (evenings) 
• Proactive self-starter, strong organizational skills, professional and positive attitude, high attention to detail and ability to adapt to a rapidly shifting workload
• Quality Control and Vendor Compliance experience
• Ability to read color
• Passion for dogs and fashion. Dog product or accessory experience nice, but not required

Total Rewards Package

The annual base salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $115,000.
