At Richelieu Foods, our mission is simple - Great Food from Great People! This position is responsible for cleaning of the equipment, floors, walls, and other parts of the production facility on a weekly basis.
Essential Functions
Responsible for effective sanitation of the various plant equipment on a weekly basis.
Must be able to follow equipment cleaning instructions as listed in the Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures.
Responsible for compliance with GMP’s proper sanitation, and housekeeping in area.
Responsible for use of required safety equipment and complying with proper safety procedures including wearing proper protective equipment.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must become familiar with cleaning chemicals.
Must be able to follow verbal instructions from the sanitation Supervisor.
Must be detail oriented and be able to work independently.
Competencies
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance procedures, a variety of instructions, diagrams, or schedules.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to hot and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will work regularly in wet and slippery conditions. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.
Schedule: 6am-4:30pm, Saturdays are required
