About the Opportunity

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our Instrument and Enterprise Services (IES) team as a Product Lifecycle Specialist. In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to establish a product lifecycle governance model across our dynamic supply chain for our service organization. You will develop and lead cross-functional projects aimed at reducing Direct Materials Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and driving down Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory across all nodes of the network. Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a product lifecycle governance model, ensuring flawless execution and adherence to established processes
  • Lead cross-functional/cross-divisional teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, resulting in a reduction in Direct Materials COGS
  • Collaborate effectively with various teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Develop and implement successful strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance, to determine the root causes of excess inventory and develop strategies to address them
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline product lifecycle operations
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to track progress and identify areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management, Operations, Supply Chain, or other related degree as well as 3+ years in project management supporting operational groups with preference in comparable industries to Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.
  • Proven experience in product lifecycle management or related field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Exceptional project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong motivation to compete and achieve results
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels across a diverse set of roles
  • Strict attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
