Production General Labor

General Labor 1st shift

Richelieu Foods, Inc., a leading supplier of high-quality food products to the private label and food service industries is seeking General Labors for both 1st and 2nd shift at our Washington Court House location. General Labors provide support services and labor to various areas of the production line.

Essential Functions

• Be aware of existing work and environmental hazards and report all unsafe acts or conditions observed.
• Work at any of the assigned stations through the manufacturing line; Line Processor, Dough Former, De-Panning Technician.
• Ensure dough balls are properly oiled and placed on individual baking pan cavities.
• Remove dough that is over/under proofed into white buckets for reprocessing and contaminated dough into red inedible bucket.
• Ensure each cavity of pan is properly covered with dough by patting out edges and remove any irregular piece(s) of dough or any solid dough and place in red inedible bucket.
• Record any downtime or dye changes onto the Downtime Sheet.
• Remove and guide pans that may jam from exiting oven.
• Remove pans from the line and stack for reuse.
• Ensures the production line is equipped with pans through entirety of shift and place pans on the line for changeovers and start up.
• Follow all required PPE/GMP requirements.
• Practice good housekeeping techniques by keeping areas free and clear of safety and food safety objects/items. This includes cleaning the work area during shift.
• Responsible for proper use of issued PPE, required safety equipment and complying with all safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience in food manufacturing environment is a plus.
  
  

Competencies

• Ability to work under direct supervision and to follow work instructions and established procedures.
  
  

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial trucks. The employee is exposed to heated conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  
  

Physical Demands

• Stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands or finger to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is infrequently required to sit, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.

We have four manufacturing facilities located in OH, IL, and WI. We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.

This position is based out of our Washington Court House, OH location. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour.

1st shift schedule: 6AM-6PM; 12 hour shift
