Ensure the on-time and within budget production of trading card products by facilitating the exchange of information within the Company and outside vendors. Producing trading card products includes sourcing and contracting with outside vendors, ensuring on-time delivery of components and raw materials, and ensuring that quality standards are consistently met. Facilitating the exchange of information involves developing detailed manufacturing plans, solving production issues, approving production processes, communicating and enforcing vendor deadlines and providing regular updates of job progress to management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the schedules, resources, and production of outside manufacturers as assigned.
Accountable for outside manufacturers launching assigned products on time including management of the vendor production schedule.
Responsible for Production-related communication flow and coordination between all resources committed to each product (includes all vendors).
Responsible for design and preliminary document review.
Ensure the delivery and reconciliation of memorabilia and autographs to the packout facility.
Actively determines manufacturing problem areas within projects and leads in developing solutions.
Tracks and coordinates deliverable dates from all outside vendors to the packout facility and resolves any issues related to schedule.
Manage Marketing projects as assigned.
Work with other departments on innovative technology, substrates and packaging.
Responsible for the overall quality of all printed materials for all products.
Source and qualify new vendors.
Issue Purchase Orders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of web, offset and digital printing processes required.
Knowledge of production finishing and pack-out processes.
Must have excellent computer skills and pressroom troubleshooting techniques.
Superb time management skills. Effective management of multiple, concurrent projects against aggressive timelines without compromising accuracy or quality.
Knowledge of sports and entertainment trading card or trading card game industry is desirable.
Competent organizational and file management skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail.
Good communication, organizational and time management skills.
Working knowledge of collating equipment is desirable.
Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and have a strong sense of urgency.
Leadership ability to lead people and get results through others.
Reliability and regular attendance are essential.
Ability to work additional hours as required.
Equipment/Software, Education and Experience:
PC proficiency in: Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, web-based data bases; Microsoft AX.
Bachelor’s degree in related field desired. Minimum five (5) years work experience in print production.
Experience desired in each phase of Production operation including: Management of people, Process implementation, Art, Purchasing, Marketing, and Prepress.
