Job Summary

MEP Coordinators are needed for a leading General Contractor. The MEP Coordinator will manage the mechanical, electrical, and special systems requirements for complex construction projects. This role involves overseeing trade contractors and vendors, coordinating schedules, budgets, and documentation from pre-construction through project close-out, and ensuring effective communication with clients and engineers.

The ideal candidate will have over 5+ years of commercial construction experience, particularly with large-scale mechanical and electrical systems. The candidate must also be adept at developing project scopes, and schedules, managing change orders and RFIs, and tracking project budgets and costs. This is a contract opportunity with the possibility to convert to full-time. Our client will budget monthly living expenses for non-local candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate controls/power monitoring, including RFIs, submittals, graphics, testing, and checkout
  • Lead the commissioning process, including schedule ownership, issue tracking, and overall communication with stakeholders
  • Supervise all mechanical, electrical, and special systems trade contractors and vendors
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, reports, and documentation from pre-construction through close-out
  • Ensure project readiness by conducting checklist reviews and facilitating issue resolution
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with owner's representatives, architects, engineers, and clients
