Mechanical Engineering 3D SolidWorks Designer for biotech, food and pharmaceuticals

• One year of 3D SolidWorks engineering design experience as well as an engineering degree (or an additional year of 3D SolidWorks engineering design experience in place of the degree) are requirements
• One year of biotechnology, food and/or pharmaceutical experience with sanitary piping is also required
• Pay is $50,000 to $70,000
• Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
• No remote as this is an onsite only position

This full time, permanent Mechanical Engineering 3D SolidWorks Designer (for biotechnology, food and pharmaceutical) opening is at a growing, diverse, custom structural, system and metal component manufacturer. Customers are diverse and include biotechnology, food and pharmaceutical companies. The company promotes from within and does not hold employees back from growing their skillset and careers. Numerous advancement opportunities will exist as the company continues to grow. This smaller company values employees and treats employees well. The company has been in existence for approximately 30 years and employs approximately 100 employees. The company has not experienced a layoff since 2007.

Responsibilities

If an employee has the aptitude and drive, they can advance to a project management role. This position is available due to continued company growth due to demand for company products. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate are as follows:

• Creating detailed, custom 3D SolidWorks drawings
• Taking direction from and working closely with project managers and project engineers
• Creating bills of materials
  
  

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

• An engineering degree or an additional year of 3D SolidWorks design experience
• One year of 3D SolidWorks design experience in the biotechnology, food and/or pharmaceutical industries with sanitary piping
• A proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and Microsoft Excel
• A proficiency or a willingness to gain proficiency with electrical controls and fluid mechanics
• A solid work history
• A US citizen or possess a green card
