Seeking a Mechanical Engineer I responsible for designing, manufacturing, deploying, and improving dry products packaging machines. This role involves critical calculations, simulations, and clear communication with internal and external customers. Creativity, problem-solving, attention to detail, and accountability are essential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Understand machine requirements and create mathematically verified concepts.
Evaluate and select components, materials, and stress/strain constraints.
Redesign standard products to improve quality, productivity, and cost-efficiency.
Provide technical support to manufacturing, sales, and service departments.
Comply with quality and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
0-3 years of experience, including internships. (recent graduates are eligible)
Familiarity with industry concepts and practices.
Strong problem-solving, creativity, and judgment skills.
Proficient in 3D/2D drawing using Autodesk Inventor.
Understanding of duty cycle designs and production material selection.
Technology/Equipment Proficiencies:
Autodesk Inventor and Vault or similar software.
Project Management Tools, ERP Systems, and Microsoft suite.
(Optional) Knowledge of sanitary design concepts for food production.
Work Environment:
Predominantly office-based with occasional shop floor visits.
Exposure to fumes, heat, and noise in the shop; safety equipment required.
Infrequent travel may be required.
